GNS is a Federal government contractor with extensive experience in planning, designing, integrating and managing IT infrastructures. Our focus is on IT/cyber security, Quality Assurance (QA) and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) because we believe these are two of the most critical infrastructure issues our customers face now and into the foreseeable future.

We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst able to assist in the assessment of system quality and inform the client of system risks.

This person will support the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services Systems Assurance Technical Services (SATS) contract with assuring quality standards are satisfied throughout an information system’s lifecycle.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assists clients in articulating and defining their user stories, business requirements and assists in preparing the business case justification for technical investment decisions
  • Reviews, evaluates, and assesses documentation of the user stories, system specifications, system design, interface specifications, interface control documents, and system test methods.
  • Work as a team member with other technical staff
  • Assist with developing flow charts and diagrams outlining systems capabilities and processes
  • Document system problems and resolutions for future reference
  • Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current and future systems
  • Review test cases and business scenario tests based on specifications/process procedures.
  • Perform both manual and automated requirements management, requirements traceability, and configuration management
  • Participate in gate reviews for all phases of the DHS lifecycle
  • Participate in Agile Scrums and Sprints

 

Experience:

Required:

  • US Citizenship
  • Associate Degree
  • 5 Years of Experience
  • Knowledge of agile software methodologies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • Certified Scrum Master Certification
  • Experience in assessing information systems for adherence to quality standards for design, development and testing
  • Experience with Agile Scrum, Kanban or Extreme Programming
  • Knowledge of the Department of Homeland Security System Engineering Lifecycle (SELC)
